Musiq Soulchild, born Taalib Johnson, is one of the most influential R&B singers of his generation. Weaned on Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Donny Hathaway, Musiq pioneered the “neo-soul” movement of the early millennium. He has received 13 Grammy nomination and has sold millions of records world-wide. He is still one of the most popular performers of his time and a true artist. Known for his raw vocal talent, Musiq went from signing on the street corners of Philadelphia in the late 90’s, to landing a big record dela with Def Jam in 2000; ushering in a new age sound of his own.
